The FLECT/CT Small Animal Tomography System TriFoil InSyte offers a preclinical multi-modality imaging platform that combines the strengths of fluorescence tomography with X-ray CT. The InSyTe FLECT/CT acquires both CT and fluorescence data in full 360° for complete angle 3D tomographic imaging. FLECT (FLuorescence Emission Computed Tomography) is designed for detection of near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence for deep tissue in vivo imaging in mice.
Technical characteristics of the system:
- 4 NIR excitation laser lines: 642 nm (80 mW), 705 nm (40 mW), 730 nm (40 mW), 780 nm (100 mW).
- 5 NIR fluorescence detection filters: 695/20 nm, 710/45 nm, 803/60 nm, 813/40 nm, 853/45 nm
- The animal bed rotates axially resulting in acquisition of 3D data
- FluoroView software for 3D image acquisition
- Image processing and quantification by VivoQuant™ software.
TriFoil InSyte Tomography System was installed in June 2024 in the Department of Animal Models for Biomedical Research of HPI. The system was acquired through the European Recovery Fund. The system can be used by HPI researchers and external users for a broad range of applications in preclinical research like cancer, neuroscience, biodistribution and developmental biology.
