Diagnostic Department

The Diagnostic Laboratory provides a broad range of tests to outpatient and hospitalized patients for the diagnosis of infectious and neuroimmunologic diseases. Clinical specimens are received also from other clinical laboratories for confirmation of equivocal results. The Diagnostic Services Laboratory has been accredited according to ISO 15189. The diagnostic laboratory was almost the only laboratory in Greece that realized the diagnosis of the virus during the first wave of the pandemic. Moreover, since the beggining of the pandemic has been examined more than 200,000 samples suspected for SARS‐CoV‐2.
